Insulator Installation

Laced Insulator Installation

Our laced covers are set up and laced for your suppressor size before they are shipped. It is important to slide the sleeve over the end of the suppressor that has the softest edge. This will avoid wear on the braided fiberglass sleeve.   There is no need to remove the nylon shell or unlace the cover. We do not recommend taking the cover apart unless it is completely necessary. For normal use you should be able to slightly loosen the lacing and slip it on and off. We recommend wrapping the Kevlar cord around the back end of the suppressor to keep the cover from sliding forward. If you do this you will not need to pull the lacing extremely tight. The tighter it gets pressed against the suppressor the less it will insulate. Just snug it and then tighten the wraps of kevlar around the barrel behind the suppressor to prevent the cover from sliding forward.

Velcro Insulator Installation

Our Velcro cover is very simple to install. When you install, it is best to put the seam in the felt(on the insulating sleeve) away from the seam in the Velcro. This will avoid a “hump” in the cover. It is important to slide the sleeve over the end of the suppressor that has the softest edge. This will avoid wear on the braided fiberglass sleeve.
